Husbakken's first guests of the season arrives soon. Bring skiis!

The long nights of the northern winter are lit by stars and constellations like the Hunter.

Summer has definately arrived at Husbakken. A few brave skiers are still sliding down the few snow-covered areas, as the first hikers are trying to find a bare track to the top of the surrounding mountains.

We're ready for Easter guests at Husbakken.

Our local pride, the painter and graphic artist Nikolai Astrup, is now presented for an international audience in London at the Dulwich Picture Gallery. We feel privileged to live in walking distance (2 km) from his artist home Astruptunet (now museum). At Dulwich Picture Gallery's youtube channel there are at least 6 interesting videos about the exhibition in London, about the artist and Astruptunet. Enjoy!

How about a vacation in Jølster this Easter? We still have A LOT of snow and our old farmhouse is available the whole week or for two separated weekends. You can go skiing uphill directly from the farm or go to Jølster Skisenter (15 min drive) for down hill skiing or for prepared cross country tracks. 17 weeks are booked at Husbakken this year, but we would be pleased to receive even more guests! We welcome you to a holiday location with a beautiful view, a charming farm house from the 1900th century combined with modern comfort, and excellent possibilities for hiking and skiing.

Been out plowing. Hope our guest can drive safely back up the hill to their holiday house, Husbakken. This is the weirdest "spring" ever...
